LEGAL & INSURANCE MANAGER

Job Detail

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all legal issues are covered and fulfilled
  • Ensuring that all company’s legal documents are well maintained and renewed
  • Ensuring all relevant insurance claim cases are handled efficiently
  • Ensuring relevant insurance reports, anaylsis and records are completed on time and accurately
  • Ensuring that all company’s assets are adequately insured
  • Ensuring that all legal issues for all corporate actions are covered and fulfilled
  • Ensuring that all legal issues for all tenders are covered
  • Ensuring that all legal issues for the new building and 2nd hand vessels are covered and fulfilled
  • Ensuring appropriate and sufficient insurance coverage of company’s assets
  • Monitoring claim cases is handling efficiently
  • Providing legal opinion, review, and drafting
  • Ensuring efficient corporate documents handling and legal processing
  • Following up, reviewing and analyzing cases, and corresponding to related parties in order to settle the claim
  • Managing work distribution inside the team
  • Carrying out coaching to improve staff performance
  • Setting a challenging working target for staff and review it periodically
  • Recognizing team strength and weaknesses, and propose necessary development for each staff
  • Proposing performance appraisal of team member
  • Conducting interview for staff recruitment

Job Qualification

Requirement: 

  • At least Bachelor's degree or Master's degree/Post Graduate degree in Law or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): Shipping Law & Marine knowledge, Legal knowledge, Capital Market, Corporate and Litigation, Insurance, OHSAS18001, ISO14001.
  • Having good analysis issue and use sound judgment, planning organizing, information seeking, orientation to detail, coordination, business process understanding, interpersonal persuasiveness ability, developing others and team leadership
  • English proficiency both oral and written.
