Assisting Marine Personnel (MP) to update and required to stay informed regarding all (inter)national regulations on crewing requirements and aware of relevant manning developments, e.g. ILO, Flag Administrations, unions.
Assisting MP to monitor the seafarer recruitment processes and ensure correct certification and documentation in place with recruitment agents on the Crew Agents.
Supporting and giving advice to Crew Agent with the aim of building strong professional working relationships.
Reporting to MP of any identified problems/difficulties.
Assisting to develop, maintain and improve manning pools and address/solve crewing issues in close cooperation with the Fleet Supervisors and Crewing Officers.
Assisting in scheduling, planning of crew pre-joining preparation to be assigned on board in accordance with SMS procedures, agreed terms & conditions of employment and specified experience/training/qualification matrices.
Monitoring the appraisal / assessment of marine personnel performance and assisting in the implementation and follow-up of Seafarers Performance Appraisals, maintaining close liaison with the relevant reporting officer ensure input of appraisal reports to B-Path (FORM C-06;C-07;C-08; CODE).
Assisting to ensure the control of documents (i.e. certificates) of (embarking) seagoing personnel, appraisal process on seafarers’ performance and identify training needs of seafarers.
Assisting to establish, prepare and monitor annual crew plans and budgets and anticipate on future company and crew developments.
Assisting in the monitoring of crew P&I claims and assisting Insurance staff as required.
Enter all relevant seafarer data accurately into B-Path.
Assisting in the preparation and exercise of crew gathering.
Updating and maintaining crew information and records in Ship Manager Bpath.
Scheduling visit to assigned vessels for marine personnel matters.
Any other duties as assigned by Manager and Management.
Job Qualification
Candidate must possess at least BACHELOR′S DEGREE IN MARITIME STUDIES or equivalent.
At least 2 YEAR(S) OF WORKING EXPERIENCE in the related field is required for this position.
